Official Rules & Regulations

PROMOTION PERIOD
The AIM FOR CASH Promotion (the “Promotion”) operates during normal store hours at participating AIM Recycling locations in Ontario and across the USA (See https://www.AIM-Recycling.com or https://www.aim-recyclingca.com for a complete list of “Participating Locations”). The Promotion begins on January 13, 2024 and is scheduled to end on February 28, 2025 with an extension to redeem the AIM Bucks until March 31st, 2025 or when official AIM Bucks are exhausted and have been redeemed (whichever occurs first) (the “Promotion Period”).

ELIGIBILITY
Promotion is only open to residents of the state of California, the city of Erie (Pennsylvania), Phoenix (Arizona) and the province of Ontario (excluding residents of Quebec, and the Ottawa Region, including Pembroke, and Cornwall) who have reached the legal age of majority in their state/province/territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, representatives or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of American Iron & Metal Company Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and each of its associated and affiliated entities, advertising/promotion agencies and any other individual(s), entity or entities involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the Promotion (collectively with the Sponsor, the “Promotion Parties”) are not eligible to participate. By participating, you agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”).

HOW IT WORKS
During the Promotion Period, eligible participants can receive one (1) AIM BUCK (each, an “AIM BUCK”), while supplies last, in-store at a Participating Location. There is no cost associated with obtaining an AIM Buck. The AIM Buck will be provided by a representative at the Participating Location immediately following their transaction where a minimum value of $100 was reached. To participate, eligible entrants must collect 3 AIM Bucks and redeem with a scale clerk at the time of weighing out in order to take advantage of the bonus given to the specific commodities (See “PROGRAM AWARDS” below). If any part of the AIM Buck is either tampered or looks to be tampered with the AIM Buck will be considered null and void. THE AIM BUCKS MUST BE PRESENTED TO IN THE PRESENCE OF A REPRESENTATIVE AT A PARTICIPATING LOCATION, THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO COMPLETE ANY PURCHASE TRANSACTION.

Once 3 AIM Bucks have been accumulated, they can be redeemed for a single bonus on one of these specific commodities on the transaction following the one where the third AIM BUCK was earned:

Each bonus award requires the redemption of 3 AIM BUCKS

Only one (1) bonus can be applied on any one (1) commodity in one (1) transaction with the redemption of 3 AIM Bucks, however, if one transaction has multiple commodities where bonuses can be applied and the customer has the required number of AIM BUCKS to apply a bonus on another eligible commodity in that transaction, the bonus can be applied against that commodity as well. For example, if you have 6 AIM BUCKS and have 2 commodities in your transaction that are eligible for a bonus, then you can apply the bonuses to both as long as you redeem both sets of 3 AIM BUCKS. You cannot, however, double up or stack a bonus on top of one single eligible commodity.

At the start of the Promotion, there will be a total of 15,000 AIM BUCKS available for distribution at Participating Locations. At the start of the Promotion, each Participating Location will receive a predetermined number of AIM BUCKS that will be available for distribution at that Participating Location during the Promotion Period, while supplies last. There is a limit of one (1) AIM BUCK permitted per person, per visit to a Participating Location. If it is discovered that any person has attempted to obtain more than one (1) AIM BUCK per person, per visit to a Participating Location by any means, then they may be disqualified (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor) and, if disqualified, their AIM BUCKS will be considered null and void. All AIM BUCKS are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Promotion; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any AIM Buck   and/or information entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Promotion; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Promotion in accordance with the Sponsor’s interpretation of letter and spirit of these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of this Promotion will be the Sponsor’s official time-keeping device(s).

Each AIM BUCK can only be used one (1) time. Each AIM BUCK will become void after its first use or at close of business at the Participating Location on March 31, 2025 (whichever occurs first). Any AIM BUCK that cannot be verified to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor (or, as applicable, the Sponsor’s designated representative), in its sole and absolute discretion, is subject to immediate disqualification (in which case the rights to any Prize associated with such AIM BUCK will be forfeited in their entirety).

If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) obtain more than one (1) AIM BUCK per person, per Participating Location; (ii) use multiple names, multiple identities, and/or any other means not in keeping with the Sponsor’s interpretation of the letter and spirit of these Rules to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Promotion; (ii) falsely claim an AIM BUCK without legitimately obtaining an eligible AIM BUCK in accordance with these Rules; and/or (iii) submit or attempt to submit an AIM BUCK that has been falsified, manipulated or otherwise altered in any way (all as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); then they may be disqualified from the Promotion in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. The Promotion Parties and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any late, lost, misdirected, delayed or incomplete information (all of which is void). Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, photocopies and/or other reproductions of Scratch Cards are strictly prohibited and will not be accepted.

 

PROGRAM AWARDS

To claim a bonus payout on your material, you must:

1. Redeem 3 AIM bucks with the proper team member at the facility

2. Have sold a commodity that that is eligible for the bonus at the time of redeeming the 3 AIM BUCKS

If due to printing, production, online, internet, computer or other error of any kind, more AWARDS are claimed than intended to be distributed or awarded according to these Rules, then, in addition to having the right to terminate the Promotion immediately, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to rescind invalid AWARDS claims and/or conduct a random draw from amongst all eligible claimants to award the correct number and type of AWARDS as specified in these Rules. In no event whatsoever will the Sponsor or any of the other Released Parties be liable for more than the number, type and value of AWARDS as stated in these Rules.

AWARDS must be accepted as awarded, are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-assignable and not redeemable for cash. No substitutions are permitted, except at Sponsor’s option. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any AWARDS with a prize of equal or greater value. Added Values are valid at Participating Locations only and cannot be redeemed online. Added Values apply only to commodities noted. Added Values have no cash surrender or other value. Added Values are not valid on prior transactions. Certain conditions may apply.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
All AIM BUCKS become the property of the Sponsor. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void in Quebec and where prohibited or restricted by law. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Promotion are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal. The Released Parties will not be liable for the failure of any individual to receive an AIM BUCK. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to withdraw, amend or suspend this Promotion (or to amend these Rules) in any way, in the event of any error, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Promotion as contemplated by these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Promotion in any way (as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, amend or suspend this Promotion, or to amend these Rules, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind, or for any other reason.

ANYONE DEEMED BY THE SPONSOR TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THE SPONSOR’S INTERPRETATION OF THE LETTER AND/OR SPIRIT OF THESE RULES FOR ANY REASON IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR AT ANY TIME.

By participating in this Promotion, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted only for the purpose of administering the Promotion and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy (available at: aim-recycling.com and aim-recyclingca.com). This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the Sponsor or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to adjust any of the dates, timeframes and/or other mechanics stipulated in these Rules, to the extent deemed necessary by the Sponsor, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant and/or any other information or materials with these Rules, or as a result of any problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Promotion as contemplated in these Rules, or for any other reason.

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Promotion-related materials, including, but not limited to, any website(s), point of sale, television, print or online advertising and/or any instructions or interpretations of these Rules given by any representative of the Sponsor, the terms and conditions of these Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with the terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.

 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules or the rights and obligations of participants, Sponsor or any of the other the Released Parties in connection with the Promotion will be governed by and construed in accordance with the domestic laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. The parties hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Ontario, Erie, Phoenix, or California in any action to enforce (or otherwise relating to) these Rules or relating to this Promotion.
